Policy

Do you offer free samples for tasting?

Because all cakes are made to order, we do not offer free samples for tasting.

Do you have any allergen-free cake options?

We are not an allergen-free bakery, and our cakes are not intended for consumption by people who are allergic or intolerant to wheat, gluten, nuts, soy, dairy, or eggs. While nuts are not used in our cakes, they are present on the premise. If you have a food allergy, including to nuts, we advise you not to consume our cake products.

How far do you deliver?

We deliver within the Baltimore and Washington metropolitan areas. If you are not sure if we deliver to your location, just ask. We do require a minimum order of $70 for delivery.

How do I place an order?

First step is to contact us by requesting a Quote to inquire further. From there, you will be able to fill out a form to provide details of your request and ask any questions you may have. This form will be routed to our company email address (goii.treats@gmail.com), whereby, we will then follow up with you within 24 hours to discuss the details of the cake project. Once you agree to the project, we will book you. No deposit is required. Simple as that. An invoice is sent, and payment for the cake is due 7 days before drop off. We accept electronic payments (e.g., paypal, checking, and credit). If you plan to pay in cash, which is acceptable, let us know in advance so we can workout the details.

Can I make changes to my cake order?

You can request changes to your order up to 7 days before cake delivery. We will do our best to accommodate your changes, but significant changes may not be possible or may increase the final price.

What is your cancellation and refund policy?

If there are any concerns about a pending order, please contact us. Our standard policy is as follows:

If you paid for a cake and need to cancel an order, we will refund your payment if the request is made 4 days prior to cake delivery. Cancellations made between 2 and 4 days prior to cake delivery will result in a 50% refund. Unfortunately, we will not pay any third-party fees associated with returning money for a cancellation. No refund will be given if cancellation requests are submitted the day of cake delivery or the day prior to cake delivery, as materials have been purchased and most of our time is spent preparing the cake during the last 2 days. If you are not satisfied with an order, please contact us.

How do I handle the cake once I receive it?

All cakes are refrigerated prior to delivery and kept cold during delivery, which allows for the cake to be suitable for transportation. Our cakes are made with real butter and are best served at room temperature.

*If you plan to serve the cake the day you receive it, we recommend that you keep the cake indoors at room temperature and away from direct sunlight. Cake needs to sit at room temperature for ~4 hours for a single-tier cake and 5 - 6 hours for a multi-tier cake, so please keep this in mind when scheduling drop-off. The goal is to allow time for the icing to soften to maximize the cake eating experience.

*If you plan to serve the cake another day, you must refrigerate the cake upon receipt to preserve the decorations and design. The cake should be left out at room temperature, as described above, prior to serving.

After the event, it is recommended that any remaining cake be wrapped tight in saran wrap and placed in the refrigerator. Once the cake is delivered, it is the client’s responsibility; we are not responsible for any changes to the cake that may occur after delivery. Instructions will be given to you prior to delivery. Follow the instructions. If non-edible items are included on your cake as part of the decorations, which will be identified and described in the instructions, remove these items prior to serving. Prior to serving, read and have your guests read the cake label for allergen information.
